3Dat was asked to participate in cooperation with Dutch architect Arnoo Holleman to re-design the interior of a monumental textile factory in the town of Aalten. The historical building was deserted for several decades and finally be found in a devastating condition. Meanwhile the exterior is restored in a very high order of workmanship. The interior, which contains remarkable valuable details, was re-defined for multi-purposes. The interior of the main building is now represented as a loft. The opportunities to lay out the interior are endless. We decided to show a preliminary design. Besides the restored main building there is also a former boiler house, which can function as a modern office. The former boiler room still contains several historical decorated wooden roofbeams. These unique elements gives the room its own identity. The most nearby surroundings contains lots of parking space, beautiful reserved nature and scenery.
